GTA Rewards Annual Holiday Social

Registration is now open for our GTA Rewards Annual Holiday Social on Wednesday November 30^th where we are excited to celebrate another great year as an association, with food, drinks and your company! In addition, every year we take the opportunity to give back to our community through a charity donation. This year, we have decided to participate in the Holiday Helpers Sponsor a Family Program, where our donation will be put towards a chosen family to purchase grocery gift cards, providing each member of the family with winter gear, presents for kids, and decorations for the family to be able to engage in the Holiday Spirit.

About our family we will sponsor: Miriam, a single mom arrived in Canada mid-September and has experienced a delay with the legal process for refugee status. She isn't yet eligible to receive any subsidy. She and her 3 children are doing their best to adjust to their new surroundings. Miriam has enrolled immediately in ESL classes and is hoping to engage with some skills training as it becomes available to her. Getting settled in Canada has been an adjustment and Miriam feels very welcomed in this new country. She is surprised at the generosity here. The children are excited to decorate the tree outside their centre and experience winter. This family will be very gratitude for your support getting them settled comfortably and having a beautiful Christmas.
